Areas We Serve

Life Saver Pool Fence of the Northwest installs removable mesh pool fences in homes throughout Idaho, Oregon, and Utah. Swimming pools in each of these states must adhere to state regulations regarding pool fence barriers.

Idaho regulations state that a swimming pool must be enclosed by a gate that has a minimum height of at least 4 feet high.

In Oregon, state regulations require a swimming pool must be enclosed by a gate that is at least 4 feet tall. The space between the bottom of the enclosure and the grade should be 4 inches or less and any projections or recessions on the outside of the fence must be 42 inches from either the top or bottom of the fence. Gates must swing away from the pool and be self-closing and self-latching. The latching mechanism mounted at least 42 inches above the ground on the outside of the gate.

In Utah, state regulations require a swimming pool must be enclosed by a gate that has a minimum height of at least 6 feet and not have openings that would allow the passage of a sphere larger than 4 inches. The gate must open away from the pool and be self-closing and self-latching, and the latching mechanism must have locking hardware and be at least 54 inches above the ground.
