Life Saver Pool Fence of Northern California installs pool fences in Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Benito, Alameda, San Mateo, Contra Costa, and Monterey Counties.

According to San José Municipal Code pool must be enclosed by a mesh barrier that provides continuous and constant protection of the pool, and prevents unsupervised access to the pool. The barrier must be a minimum height of 60 inches and a maximum vertical clearance of 2 inches from the ground to the bottom of the enclosure.

The fence must be free of protrusions, cavities, or other attributes that could serve as a handhold or foothold, which could allow a child below the age of five to climb over.

The mesh pool fence must also not have any gaps or voids to prohibit the passage of a 4-inch diameter rigid sphere. Additionally, the barrier’s gate must open away from the pool, and be self-closing, self-latching, and lockable.
