“We’d just moved into our home and had been unsuccessful at finding someone to install a pool fence. Then, on Thanksgiving Day, our 2-year-old son Paul slipped out the back door.
We found him in the pool. When we pulled him out he wasn’t responsive, but did receive CPR from a trained professional almost immediately. Then he was life-flighted to a hospital.
Miraculously, Paul recovered—he still struggles with a brain injury but he is walking, talking, and feeding himself. We know that’s not always the case.
